¿Por qué leer un poema? ¿Por qué escribir uno? La gente dice que la poesía moderna como una forma de arte está en peligro en nuestro tiempo, sin embargo, en todas partes, en las culturas del mundo y las personas a aprender de memoria, recitan, y de valor diferentes formas de la poesía. Este curso tratará de definir este género de escritura de poesía, para hablar de sus atributos particulares, para distinguir entre el bien y el mal la poesía, para explicar por qué tanta poesía escritura es difícil, y para aislar los tipos deverdades  poesía moderna parece mejor al transporte. Nuestra atención se centrará en la poesía moderna, en Inglés y en la traducción.

Why read a poem?  Why write one?  People say modern poetry as an art form is imperiled in our time, yet everywhere in the world cultures and individuals memorize, recite, and value various forms of poetry.  This course will attempt to define this genre of poetry writing, to discuss its particular attributes, to distinguish between good and bad poetry, to explain why so much writing poetry is difficult, and to isolate the sorts of truths modern poetry seems best at conveying.  Our focus will be on modern poetry, in English and in translation.
